Recovering Know-It-All
I used to think I had all the answers. Turns out, not so much. But what I did have was a bunch of great stories from trying to figure things out and a love for telling them.
These days, I make things.. songs that stick in your head (for good and bad reasons), photos that make you look twice (mostly for good reasons), and frameworks that help people connect without all the corporate theater (there’s never a bad reason for genuine connection).
I also think about and write about the messy, human side of work because that’s where the magic actually happens. Not in the boardroom slides, but in the moments when someone feels heard, when a team clicks, or when a leader figures out vulnerability isn’t weakness but rocket fuel.
That’s also why I wrote my first book, The Business Buffet — an easy-to-digest handbook of the skills no one teaches you but still expect you to know. It’s served with stories, humor, and a little seasoning from real life. Grab a plate and dig in.
I definitely don’t have all the answers, but I’ve learned the best conversations start when you stop pretending you do. And if nothing else, I can always offer you a dad joke while we figure it out together.
Leading with heart, humor,
and a little bit of flavor
Listen up.
The newest release from NJMJ, Let You Go is a sleek pop-R&B groove that fuses soulful vocals with shimmering production and late-night emotion. It’s a song about release and reckoning — that moment when love, pride, and vulnerability collide. Smooth enough for the playlist, raw enough for the heart, Let You Go captures the ache of moving on and the power of finally setting yourself free.
